SEX EDUCATION: TALK SHOW

Dr. Jean Milburn hosts a fictional three-segment talk show aimed at Zoomers, sparking open discussions on often-taboo topics such as gender identity, sex, and sexual orientation. Each segment is set in a distinct, visually inspired stage.
Segment A – Dr. Milburn hosts a typical talk show conversation in an Art Nouveau-inspired greenhouse, where she discusses her guest’s achievements and views on relevant societal topics.
Segment B – Inspired by modern Art Deco, this “Makeover” segment focuses on how physical appearance influences self-perception. Volunteers from the audience receive advice on enhancing their personal image, with the option to undergo a live makeover in a custom makeover pod.
Segment C – In a runway-style set with tiered seating, Dr. Milburn reads and responds to letters from youth seeking advice on life’s challenges and personal issues.

I began the concept design process with a moodboard study to define the look, feel, and architectural style of the show (art nouveau and contemporary art deco). From there, I translated key ideas into 3D space, creating renderings of the most compelling designs. I then produced 2D drawings to clearly communicate the fabrication intent.
