IN A DIRE STRAIT

Demi is a Taiwanese-American mother on the verge of losing control over her own body and new-born baby to her mother-in-law in a Traditional Chinese household.

As Production Designer, I collaborated closely with the Director to develop the film’s visual concept, creating sets, selecting props, and shaping environments that reflected the cultural and emotional stakes of the story. My work guided the design from initial concept through on-set execution, helping establish a cohesive and immersive world that complemented the narrative. The film went on to win multiple awards on the horror film festival circuit, showcasing the impact of thoughtful production design.
